On 24-25 April 2006 the Eminent Jurists Panel will hold high-level public hearings in London to examine counter-terrorism laws and measures in the United Kingdom.

The Panel will hear evidence from a wide range of people
including state officials, legal academics, practising lawyers, and members of the public.

The hearings are part of a global inquiry by an independent panel of eminent
jurists established by the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ), Geneva, into counter-terrorism laws, policies and practices, their implications and justifications.

The hearings have been organised by JUSTICE, the British Section of the ICJ, and will be hosted by international
law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Public hearings - 24/25 April

The public hearings will be held from 9.30am to 6.00pm at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, 65 Fleet Street, London EC4 1HS (use the main reception at Northcliffe House, corner Bouverie Street and Tudor Street).
